Exclusively Merlot grapes to interpret the Bolgheri terroir from a new perspective. The vineyards, located at an altitude between 45 and 60 meters above sea level on silty-clay soils of mainly alluvial origin, give Cont'Ugo great depth and complexity while preserving the fragrance and exuberance of fruit typical of Merlot.
Cont'Ugo 2020 has an intense ruby red color. The nose is characterized by notes of ripe small red fruits and fresh balsamic hints of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate the velvety entry is supported by an excellent sapidity capable of accompanying the whole tasting, giving a long and persistent finish. The aftertaste gives pleasant fruity sensations.
